CranioSacral Therapy is a therapy treatment that I use to treat a wide range of disorders including those that are rooted in sensory, neurological, or motor function causes. CST is a therapy that is very effective in the treatment of pain caused by related medical issues. CST uses a very light pressure and is one of the branches of holistic and well-body treatments and therapies. I am able to use the bones of the Cranium and Sacrum as levers to gently remove tension from the nervous system.
The use of CST relaxes the mind, so that the body can begin its own self-healing process. By placing my hands on my patients, I am able to follow the cues issued forth by the central nervous system. This aids me in determining the course of treatment.
This yoga is a form of yoga that teaches users how to work towards balancing the mind and the body. The practice of static yoga works towards the goal of having the user always know where his or her body is in relation to the space around. Static yoga is an exercise that is performed on a balance board, or a swiss ball. As your balance improves, I begin to challenge your body by adding arm movements, bending, twisting and even work toward tossing a ball back and forth.
The practice of this exercise improves balance, coordination, and flexibility. It aids in stimulating the nervous system, digestive system, immune system, and the cardiovascular system. It is a discipline that enhances awareness of the body and is useful in the management of stressful situations.
Acupressure is an ancient Chinese medicine that dates back thousands of years. The principle behind this holistic treatment is that the application of gentle pressure to certain meridians and zones of the body can help treat pain and relieve other symptoms.
It has been shown to not only successfully relieve pain, but to also reduce the occurrence of aches and pains, to help with weight-loss, and to increase energy. Nausea and travel sickness have also been successfully treated with this practice. In fact, scientists have discovered that using this treatment for migraine headaches is more successful than the use of over-the-counter medications.
Vibroprecussion therapy involves treating scar tissue within the body with a highly targeted gentle and concentrated vibration and percussion simultaneously. This is very efficient at breaking up scar tissue, and restoring healthy circulation in the area. I have many patients who come to me just to have this treatment because it is so effective.
The tool is called a Vibroprecussor, and it is an important part of Applied Kinesiology treatments. In the picture, I am using it to treat a patient with severe knee pain. It is proven to be highly effective with back pain and neck pain too.
The ArthroStim Healing Technique
The ArthroStim an advanced chiropractic healing instrument that is FDA approved. It provides energy and pressure into your body in order to straighten misalignment's and eliminate neurological strain and pressure. Treating patients with an ArthroStim is a sophisticated healing technique that creates a rapid, precise, and safe realignment of the targeted part of the body in need of restorative healing.
My use of the ArthroStim provides my patients with an incredibly specific adjustment, which means just the section that is out of its proper and natural position will be adjusted. For the patient experience, there is absolutely no rotating, twisting, or "cracking" connected with joints. This advanced healing technique makes it possible for routine adjustments in various positions, resulting in a comfortable treatment.
Muscle Stimulation Therapy
Muscle stimulation therapy transmits light electrical pulses to specific parts of the body through electrodes that are attached to the skin. It is designed to treat muscle spasms, reduce muscle atrophy, and to relieve pain and inflammation. Often, a TENS machine, or transcutaneous electric nerve stimulation machine, is used. This form of treatment is particularly helpful in patients who suffer from acute pain.
Meridian therapy is a form of therapy that combines all aspects of the body in order for healing to commence. This form of therapy is dependent on a balance among the bodily organs, the emotions experienced, and the "life-force" of the patient. It is a form of therapy that seeks to balance the energy flow of the body.
